I LOVE the word SHAG!!!!

I am not talking about carpet either! I love the British and their flare for words. I love the word SHAG!!!! SHAG! SHAG! SHAG!

I have always loved this word and would enjoy incorporating into my everyday life. I am sure you could use it many different ways. I know for sure that my husband would like for me use the original meaning of course. "Honey, wanna shag?"

I love this word! So instead of thinking about green 70's carpet when you hear shag, use it for other things. Those British are bloody AWESOME! I have decided my next husband will be British or my kids have to marry a British man/woman when the time comes.

Right now I am visioning Mr. Darcy (the one from the Keira Knightley movie NOT the one from the BBC mini series) whispering in my hear "Wanna shag?". ~swoon~ Oh wait! It's gone, Austin Powers just popped in my head. Yeah BABY! Now that is definitely NOT Mr. Darcy. (Matthew Macfadyen)

Not to change the shag subject but did anyone catch the Coco Chanel movie on Lifetime? I loved it!!!! I want to find Coco Chanel books now to read more about her and Boy. I am sure the movie was tweaked quite a bit from the actual version. I do know Boy wasn't as handsome in real life like the actor that played him. It is always that way! HA HA!

We just finished watching Long Way Down. Really good series! If you can find this, watch it! You will not be disappointed!

Okay, enough shag talk. Enough TV talk. Okay maybe not enough shag talk....oh honey???????

Tubs and Cricket

Since Baby M is getting adorably fat these days I have started calling her Tubs. So now when I look at my adorably fat baby I see a black man with his 80's jheri curl fighting crime in Miami. ~laughing~

I told Lil O she could be Crockett to go along with Tubs. She informed me that she was NOT Crockett that her name was LIL O. Then she said, "Daddy can be Cricket".

I laughed so much I could have wet my pants. Which I am glad I didn't. I already have 2 in diapers, 3 would make me insane.

Tubs and Cricket fighting big bad drug lords in Miami. Wearing linen suits and no socks. ~insert Miami Vice theme song here~

~hanging head~ I admit it!!! I used to watch Miami Vice all the time. I didn't watch the movie that came out years ago because I didn't want to ruin my Miami Vice memories.

I will say that Don Johnson got better with age!!! YUMMY!! Anyway....

While I am embarrassing myself admitting my love for Miami Vice I might as well mention my other faves. Love Boat. Fantasy Island. TJ Hooker. Sledgehammer. Who's the Boss. Growing Pains. 3's Company. 21 Jump Street. A-Team. Golden Girls. Green Acres. I could go on but I better not.

I am going to go surf the TV now. Maybe I can catch a Love Boat marathon!! Woohooo!!!!
Where's Julie when I need her?

Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld commercial.

Over the weekend I saw Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld in their commercial. The commercial is pretty out there with no point BUT I love it!!! I really do. Jerry talking about wearing his shoes in the shower and seeing Bill Gates membership card.

I am a huge Seinfeld fan!!! When the commercial would come on it made me think of the "Yada Yada" episode.

The one where George thinks his girlfriend is cheating on him with her ex boyfriend because at one point she told George. "I ran into my old boyfriend, yada yada yada."

So the debate was would you yada yada in the place of sex.

Later on in the episode Elaine says that she has yada yada'd sex. Then she gives her example.

"Yeah, I met this lawyer, we went out to dinner, I had the lobster bisque, we went back to my place, yada yada yada, I never heard from him again."

Then Jerry says, "But you yada yada'd over the best part."

Here is one of my favorite lines from the Seinfeld show. It is right up there with "No soup for you".

Elaine says, "No, I mentioned the bisque."

HA HA!!!!!!

Sooooo, I think the commercial needs a yada yada yada. At the end when Bill Gates is shaking his hiney there needs to be a YADA YADA YADA!!!!

**I know how to spell bisque*, I copied & pasted from a Seinfeld script website.**

Max & Ruby annoy me.

Max & Ruby, Ruby & Max annoy me. Lil O likes to watch them. I think Ruby is an annoying BOSSY big sister. If she really is his sister.

I told my husband you never see their parents. Just the grandma.

I think Ruby had a child at a young age. But she tells Max he is her "younger brother".

You didn't hear it from me though.

Things I have watched/listened to this week.

I added these to my Amazon list to the left if you want to check them out.

Watched:

Mad Men -- We finished Season 1 this week. The 2nd season starts this month. It is on AMC. Check it out. I promise you will not be disappointed.

The Piano -- I really like this movie. It is a nice love story. Well, maybe nice isn't the right word to use. She did lose a finger. We saw them naked. I had forgot about the naked scenes. Glad my kids were not around.

Army Wives -- The new season is on Lifetime. I like this show but wouldn't miss it if I stopped watching it. Now that I have found Mad Men, I like that show better.

Listened To:

Damien Rice -- He is the man to listen to if you are in a funk or even out of a funk. 9 Crimes is my favorite song these days.

Madonna -- Hard Candy. I am debating if I am going to buy tickets to her Atlanta Show in November. If only I liked the CD better I wouldn't have doubt. Now if only she would have a greatest hits tour. I would be all over it. Following her from city to city. Dye my hair blond and buy a corset. ha ha You think I kid. I do not. :) MADONNA ROCKS!

DJ Shadow -- Is in the CD player.

Moms Supporting Moms

The meeting I went to was very nice. It was nice meeting other moms that understood what I had to say. I look forward to the next meeting.

I really suggest any person going through postpartum depression to find a support group.

I have received some really nice comments. Thank you for your support.

Things around here are quiet. Just the way I like it. Both babies are asleep and my two oldest aren't here. My husband is doing manly things as I sit here watching a rerun of Seinfeld.

Has anyone seen The Hulk? I want to try and see it soon. That and Hell Boy 2. They both look pretty entertaining.

Ha ha, I actually know someone who watches that Tila Tequila show. They were making fun of it on The Soup the other night. Then my sister called to see when it comes on. GASP!! ~shaking head~ I still love you miss.

Okay, guess I'll make something to eat.

Calling all Doctor Who fans!!!

I was introduced to Doctor Who by my husband. I remember it coming onto PBS as a small child and thinking, "OH NO, not that show.". I just wasn't interested as a small child. I favored my Barbie's more I suppose.

We were both thrilled when Christopher Eccleston became the Doctor. I thought he was BRILLIANT as he used to say all the time. I was really sad to see him go. I thought the show wouldn't be the same and I wouldn't like it. I was stubborn and said I didn't like David Tennant at first but he grew on me. Nahh, he is great too. I enjoy him as the Doctor.

We watched the season finale this weekend and I was sad. I won't write anything about it just in case you are waiting to see it. I am sad I have to wait until Christmas to see it again. Well, a new show that is. I can catch the older reruns on the telly.

Here is a link I want to share that my husband emailed me this morning.

The 10 greatest episodes of Doctor Who.

Getting kids in the kitchen.

Last night was an exciting night for me. ha ha

It was a brand new ICA and Season 2 of Army Wives. Both were entertaining to watch. I won't talk about anything else just in case you are waiting to watch...

I am beginning to feel O L D. Yesterday my oldest daughter ,who is still my baby, turned 14 years old. Life is flying for sure. We celebrated her birthday with family at Longhorn and with Ice Cream Cake. It was a good day and I didn't cry!!! Yet....

School is out and I am preparing my summer plans to keep all 4 kids busy and entertained. I am going to get H and B2 involved in the kitchen more. I am going to let them come up with a meal once a week and help them prepare it. I think it will teach them about the kitchen and cooking. Plus, I know they will enjoy it. Coming up with a menu, shopping for it and cooking it. Even Lil O can help. She already loves setting the table and cleaning it up.

Baby M will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. She is sooo amazing.

Okay I am off to fold those 2 baskets of clothes!!! The Adventures Of Supermom indeed.

I HEART Gordon Ramsay

If you are a friend of mine or a fellow blogger who reads this crazy blog then you know of my long running mad crush on Gordon Ramsay. I will not mention the bad sex dream I had about him once which left me totally disappointed.....

I watch his shows. Kitchen Nightmares--the British version. (I never got into the American version.) Hell's Kitchen. The F Word. F meaning FOOD! Yeah right. That's his story so I will let it pass. Speaking of Hell's Kitchen, I haven't watched it this season because I am totally over that show. I don't think any of them can really cook since the first/second season and once you have watched a couple seasons, you have seen enough. I would rather much watch Top Chef. Shhh, don't tell Gordon I said that. Sorry Gordon.

We all know Gordon loves the F word. But mostly we just hear "bleep bleep bleep bleep". Might as well be the "B" word.

Anyway...my HB gave me "Roasting in Hell's Kitchen: Temper Tantrums, F Words, and the Pursuit of Perfection" for my birthday last week. A book written by Gordon himself even including some nice pictures. There is a link to the left that will take you right to Amazon to check it out.

I enjoyed the book! I read it in three days which is an accomplishment in itself since I have a new baby and 3 other kids to take care of.

I heart Gordon Ramsay. :)

On a Roll Today.

~Breastfeeding the baby, taking a shower before noon and skipping breakfast.
~Wearing maternity jeans and your nursing bra. $40.00
~Going to the grocery store. $140.81 (including Oreo's)

Leaving your children with your sister for less than an hour to leave the house ALONE. PRICELESS!!!!!!!
Bonus: Making it home with a dry shirt.

Guess you can tell what I did yesterday. After that we even went out to lunch. OUT as in getting in the minivan and driving to a restaurant that waited on us hand and foot. That kind of OUT!!!!!

I have a few different things I want to blog about today and going to do it all in one blog instead of several.

Yesterday was the 15th. That means Moon Pie is ONE month old. Time flies when you don't get much sleep.

It has been a great month. We are completely and totally in love with Baby M. We were before we even left the hospital. Now that we are home and life is trying to settle down I am enjoying every moment with her. She is such a snuggle bunny. She loves to snuggle and be all wrapped up in a warm blanket. Since she shares our bed I get to snuggle with her all night long. She loves that as much as I do!!!!! She will root around until she finds me then she goes right back to sleep. Baby M has more awake periods now. She loves to look around and explore the big world around her. She also enjoys her bath time. With me or without me. She loves to be rubbed down with lotion too!! She is really such a joy and wonderful baby girl. We are truly blessed!!! Now if we could get Lil O to not be jealous then life would be fabulous!!!!

May 15, 2008 Happy ONE month Birthday To You! Snuggle Bunny Moon Pie :)

1 month old

1month old #2

I enjoy my bath.

Isn't she the most beautiful baby you have ever laid your eyes on????

Okay, moving on. I am still sick!! I hate being sick!! When I started feeling bad earlier on in the week I had a conversation with my mamaw. She is from the way old school and not sure about all this fancy stuff in 2008. Well even before 2008. She thinks computers are evil. She cannot work the VCD/DVD player STILL. Following me? Here's a REAL conversation we had.

Me- I am getting sick.
Her- With?
Me- Whatever the kids had I guess. I feel icky!
Her- Now the baby will get it?
Me- I doubt it.
Her- No, she will get it from your milk.
Me- Umm, no it doesn't work that way.
Her- It doesn't?

Noooo, it really doesn't work that way. If anything Baby M is being protected from the breast milk she is getting to fight off the cold I have. It's interesting how people were taught long ago and some of the things that come out of their mouth. I love her so freaking much that she can be comical to me. She can rub others the wrong way but it's just because they haven't had the chance to know her the almost 34 years that I have. ha ha

Next! Calling number 4 !!!

Down feathers

See the above picture. I call it Evidence Picture #1. See the little flecks of white against the hardwood floor? Blow the picture up if you have too. This is what I woke up to this morning just in MY BEDROOM. In one confined little piece of floor beside the bed. Want to know what it is????? My HB's DOWN BOOTIES THAT ARE OVER 30 YEARS OLD!! That's what it is!! ~Insert lots of cuss words here!!~ I even bought him a BRAND NEW PAIR for Christmas. I am sick and tired of picking up these feathers. I have been fussing at him for a long time about the feathers. He doesn't see it as a big deal but his anal OCD wife wants to throw the damn things in the lake that is beside our house! I am going to warn the down booties now! You better run and hide little down booties. Your days are numbered!!!! Better cower under the bed or in the closet because when I get my hands on you--DIE DOWN BOOTIES DIE!!! I am going to get B2 to make me a noose so I can give them a SLOW and painful death. I'll post that picture too!

Whew, okay I feel better. They are going to DIE though. Just you wait and see.

I watched Grey's Anatomy last night. Too bad the season finale is next week. It feels like it just came back on after the writer's strike. BUMMER!

Okay, TGIF! Have a lovely weekend. Party hard or get lots of rest. Whatever works for you.

Day 3 On Zoloft

Guess who woke up in a CHIPPER MOOD?? That would be me. I am working on cup of coffee #1 and actually feel like my mood is changing. I am sure it is just me and not the medication. I don't think it would change much in just 3 days. This maple syrup smelling mommy is going to make today a great day full of adventure. Or at least I hope to.

Lil O went POO in the potty yesterday again. TWO times!! We moved from tic tacs to M&M's. They work rather well to bribe with. All you really have to say is, "You can have some M&M's if you pee or poo in the potty.". Works like a charm.

Baby Moon pie is awake so I must run. Anyone watch Grey's last night??????

My 10 seconds of fame–maybe 15 at most!

Doula Story On WLOS

I am the pregnant woman, of course. ~The camera added about 15 extra pounds to my face, wink wink.~

I am not hiring a birth Doula to set the record straight. I am training for my DONA certification and a member of DAMA. Judy is an awesome woman and Doula and I was playing her “client”. I did hire a postpartum Doula for after the birth though. She will come to my home days or weeks after my cesarean to keep check on things and help me. Having major surgery and 3 other kids at home, I welcome her being here.

Remote Area Medical R.A.M.

I wanted to post yesterday about the story I watched on 60 Minutes on Sunday but I was too exhausted. Did anyone catch the story? Here is a link to their site. Remote Area Medical

The story was very touching and very true. This organization was formed to help other countries in need of medical help. Now they are actually setting up dates in the United States. Our health-care is that messed up that we cannot help our own. It went into detail about the MILLIONS of people without insurance or not enough insurance. It is very pathetic that we won’t even help our own people. I am not going to get up on a soap box but it just saddens and angers me. I wish I was in the medical field to donate my time to this organization. I will be donating money to them though. That is where their money comes from. Everything is donated. The medical supplies and the doctors that work for them as well. Anyway…

I am just going to hang out with Lil O today. Craving potato salad. Guess, I’ll go make some. Lil O wants another butterscotch pie, so I told her we’d make another one today.

DUDE!!! He’s why I bought a Dell.

~cleaning out the email folder and wanted to share something my husband sent me~

Dell Dude Now Tequila Dude at Tortilla Flats

Ben Curtis

Ben Curtis has moved on from his Dell Dude days. But can’t you just hear him shout that slogan?Melissa Hom

Next time you’re at Tortilla Flats and you find yourself wondering aloud to your dinner companion, “What ever happened to the guy who did the ‘Dude, you’re getting a Dell’ commercials?” don’t be surprised when Ben Curtis, the man himself, approaches your table and explains the tequila list. While guest-starring on Law & Order and acting in films like the upcoming Proud Iva, Curtis has been a waiter and bartender at the Tex-Mex spot for the past year and a half, and though he dressed up as the Dell Dude for the Halloween party, he’s not about to repeat the slogan for you. He might, however, give you a free shot. “All you have to do,” he says, “is come and have a good time.”

How often do people recognize you as the Dell Dude?
Every day. It’s really difficult, but it’s a humbling experience. There were times when I made boatloads of money as an actor, but here I can be myself.

What’s the most extreme reaction you’ve gotten?
There was a group of women in their early forties, one of whom was bawling. I walk over and they said, “Our friend just passed away. We thought you might be able to cheer [us] up, we know who you are and you’re an incredible human and you’ve been through a lot and you’re an incredible actor. We’re all DEA agents, and we think you should smoke as much pot as you want to. And we love you.”

Do people ask you to repeat the catchphrase?
I’ve had tables of young girls who think they recognize me, and when they ask me, I say “yes” and then they don’t believe me and they start arguing and ask me to do the catchphrase and I’ll laugh and say, “It’s been four years, but I’m glad you’re a fan.”

Do people quote it to you?
They get really drunk, and they’ll start yelling things at me. I either ignore them, or if it’s way out of hand, I go up and say, “I appreciate your support, but my name is Ben.” That usually doesn’t work so I smile and ignore them.

Have you met any girlfriends on the job?
I had one when I first started working there, but now I’m single for the first time in a while. I’ve met a couple people there I’ve gotten to be really good friends with or dated for a while.

You’re also in a band?
My band is Whale, made up of a bunch of former actors. We had residency at Fat Baby. It’s the first band I’ve ever fronted. We have the green light, but we’ve decided to take a little time off to record our EP and package ourselves properly.

Pushing Daisies

Last night I watched the first show of Pushing Daisies. I do not want to get sucked into another TV show. However, I liked the first episode. I am not sure how long they can keep that storyline going though. I won’t write anymore–just in case someone wants to watch and hasn’t yet.

Pushing Daisies <~~you can read more about the show here.

Other than that I lead a pretty boring life these days. I really need to be writing down my dreams these days. They are a riot! Last night that Baywatch man, ummm what’s his name? David Hasselhoff! We were in Math class taking a multiplication test and he kept passing me a note with that goofy smile on his face and that wild hair of his. Now where did that come from???

Tonight there is a DAMA meeting I hope I am able to attend. I’ll know later on in the day.

Let me share a few pics I took the other night:

This is my view most days. This is from my side of the bed! During the day the sky just turns to blue. In the bottom left corner you can see why I am bed.

bed with a view

Lil O in bed playing with me.

O in bed

What? I love this picture of her. Those big brown eyes.

O in bed2

Have a lovely Thursday.

Don’t Panic!

I wish I could grab a towel and travel the universe with Ford and Aurthor at the moment. Or even better have The Doctor come by in the Tardis and take me away to a far away land!

I guess you can guess the kids are driving me crazy at the moment. I even took them out to burn off some energy and spray themselves with the hose. All they could do was bicker about he got me wet–she said I could–stop spraying me–I am all wet now. Ya think? What about lets go spray ourselves with the water hose and not getting wet come into question?

I took them out this morning to buy last minute school things. Notebooks, shoes and some shirts. I think they are set now until it turns chilly and I have to buy jackets and long sleeve shirts!

I am not really that excited school begins. I am a little sad they will be going back and not hanging out with me all day. It just means they are another year older and then I am another year older. Then to think about the news I learned last week and cannot share it until few more weeks with everyone. Some know and can read between the lines….lol

Anyway….wonder what interesting tv show I can watch that will totally bore them to leave me alone and go to their bedrooms? LOL

Nahh, I wouldn’t do that or would I?

I hope that everyone has a wonderful afternoon/night. :)

Where is my Mommy award?

I have been to Chuck E Cheese 3 times in the past 3 weeks, bowling, to the movies and don’t forget the Zoo.

Maybe this will give me 5 minutes ALONE in the bathroom. I highly doubt that but I can hope. I would be completely lost if a child of mine didn’t barge in while I was in the bathroom. The life of a mom.

Today my sis and her 2 girls came over. Hence the CEC visit. After a large pizza and 330 tokens we came home.

I was finally able to watch Big Love today. All I can say is WOW. If there are any Big Love fans, I would love to talk about the season! Email me, Comment, Something! I’d love someone to talk to about it.

Well, I am off to make some coffee. I really need the caffiene kick!

BTW-I really want a Yorkie. I would give HIM a good home. A yorkie would make a nice addition to our growing family. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!
