Good morning. I am glad it is Friday. Not that I have anything special planned for the weekend. I am working on a menu and grocery list so my HB can take me shopping when he gets off work. It is so hard for me to get around these days, the extra help is very much needed.
Speaking of hard to get around….I worked my fingers off yesterday. I worked on my sisters Tinkerbell Quilt and even finished it. I was a woman on a mission. TO CHECK SOMETHING OFF MY LIST BEFORE THE BABY GETS HERE! I was in the floor piecing and pinning. I should get a Best Sister Award for yesterday. And it took ALL day to finish the quilt. Even though it was just basic squares and easy to sew. Quick and easy made this beautiful quilt.
A picture from above. I have the back flipped over so you can see how I pieced it together.
Tied together:
I think it looks pretty and I know she will like it. Even though I am timing her to see how long it takes her to find it on WordPress, she CANNOT HAVE IT UNTIL JUNE! That is when her BIRTHDAY IS! SO, I have it put up for her special day. ~insert evil laugh here~
Well, I am off to work on that grocery list. Have a lovely weekend!

How long will it take her to call? I’ll time it!

I made a Diaper Stacker
I was talking with a friend the other day about looking for a diaper stacker to put pull-ups and panties in for Lil O. So they would be easy for her to get herself. She is a big girl yanno? I looked around and most hang long wise which would be okay to hang on a door knob I suppose but really wasn’t what I was going for. Her answer to everything is “make one”. LOL SO, that is what I did yesterday.
I had fabric left from the quilt I made my sister. ~Which isn’t finished just yet either.~ I brainstormed and found the PERFECT place for the diaper stacker to hang. On the end of her toddler bed!!! So I measured the bed and went to work.
Before:

After a couple hours—this is what I had come up with. There are two openings in front toward the ends where she can reach in and pull them out. I covered a piece of cardboard with purple matching fabric for the bottom. I have discovered I will need a “stronger” piece of cardboard. So, I will have my HB find me one. After:

I think it turned out rather well for a first try and without a pattern. Once I get the stronger cardboard for the bottom it will hang the way I had imagined it in my head. LOL
It was fun and took my mind off things. Which was her plan to begin with. She knows I am in funky land the past few days so she tried to get me busy. LOL
Well, enjoy your day! I am going to make a menu and grocery list for next week. I found some TASTY looking recipes in a stack of Vegetarian magazines. MMM!!!!Monday, November 5, 2007
What do you do when you run out of Zofran?
I didn’t mean too!! I called in the script last week and then was out of town for the wedding. My HB went to get my medicine yesterday and the PHARMACY was closed due to a death. SO NO ZOFRAN!!! The medication that has been making my life bearable! Making me be able to eat!!! And keep it down. Gone. No more.
So, this morning “Alice” is doing the weekly cooking and all I want to do is BARF! I have windows open and the heat on. Then I started having hot flashes and turned the heat down while I stood in front of windows. It was not FUN! I felt awful. Just awful!
My husband saved me by getting my meds at lunch and bringing them home. The damage has already been done though. It takes on average 1 1/2 hours to get in my system. I wasn’t able to enjoy lunch and I know I won’t get to eat dinner as well. I am tempted to over lap another dose…..hmmm….
Anyway…enough whining. I thought there had to be something I could do to take my mind off things. Besides build the worlds tallest Lego tower with lil O. So I worked on the Tinkerbell quilt. I was able to sew all of the top pieces together. I was a woman on a mission. Get the quilt finished and stay out of the bathroom! I DID manage to do both. Here is two pictures of the top piece of this cute quilt.

I hope my sister will be happy with her Tinkerbell quilt. Maybe she can wear her Tinkerbell costume and let me take a picture of them together! HA HA
Well, I think I am going to take a shower and rest. I hope that everyone has a lovely Monday.

It is really finished this time!
I know I posted that the quilt was finished. Only the top was really finished. After THREE days of motivation; I FINISHED THE WHOLE QUILT.
I pieced together a back for it. I made it that when you turn the bed down you will see checks that match the quilt. Or he can use it the other way if he wants.
Then I sewed all three pieces together. Today I sewed around the whole blanket and put it on his bed.
I had hoped to personalize some of the squares. I just didn’t have the energy right now. But I can still do that later.
Drum-roll please……….
I used bright colors to tie the quilt off.
