Why was I raking leaves out of the bed?

~I dreamed I was doing that last night.~

Things have been so BUSY around here. H got her new bigger bed Saturday so we had to get that all set up for her. My HB moved the last bookshelf and Lil O’s playroom is slowly coming together.

I have been cooking. I made a yummy blueberry cobbler last night and today I tried a new vegetarian lasagna recipe that cooks in the crock pot. The only complaint is the noodles got very soft cooking in the crock. Even on low. If anyone wants the recipe–I can post it. I tried to look on the Vegetarian magazine website where I found the recipe but it wasn’t on there. ~I tore it out of my magazine so I am not sure what issue.~

I redid the ties on the baby sweater. The silk ribbon wasn’t working for me. So I crocheted some myself and put them on it today. I also made my first pair of booties from the leftover PINK sweater yarn. They are adorable. Now Lil O wants me to make her a pair. I’ll start on those tomorrow I think. Shouldn’t take too long.

The new ties and the pretty PINK booties. :)

The shower invites go out on Friday. Exciting! I have been working on the thank you scrolls. HB found some pretty paper with baby footprints all over it. I found a pretty poem online ~from a free website~ to print on the paper. You roll them up and tie with pretty ribbon and hand out after the shower. That way you aren’t writing thank you cards when you are at your busiest. Great thinking there! LOL I did it with all my other showers as well.

This week is pretty busy. B2 has an orthodontist appointment and scouts. I have 2 doctors appointments!!! H wants to go to a dance. ~eyeroll~ It’s my daddy’s birthday and we are celebrating that. Plus that doesn’t count the every day things a mom does. There is cooking, cleaning and of course laundry.

Okay, the boy-child isn’t going to let me write anymore. My only request was to sit down and actually write something tonight. Guess I’ll go find my pj’s. Night Night. :)

Yep, I am “Nesting”

Happy Sunny Monday Morning. Even if I am catching a cold. With a house full of sick people at any given time, it was bound to happen.

I just got an email from Walgreen’s that my photo order was ready! AWESOME! You can upload your photos to their site and use the code “JOY” and get 10 cents a print and pick them up at the store. I just placed the order about an hour ago and just got the email they were ready to be picked up. COOL. No need to burn a disk to take to them. It saved me a trip. I have 89 prints to pick up. Then I will get O’s memory book up to date this week. Something else I can mark off my list to do before the baby gets here.

Yesterday I ran to Yarn Paradise and bought the prettiest PINK Merino Wool yarn to start a baby sweater. With a blanket already finished. I am going to start a sweater and if I have leftover–maybe some booties to match. Then that will be a CHECK as well.

The baby shower is planned for February 16. Lots of yummy food and delicious cake will be served. I get to spend some quality time with my family for this event. My mamaw is planning it mostly and she is excited about having it at her house. Should be lots of fun. And yes, it will be all PINK themed. :)

With the shower planned, I want to run to Babies R Us and add somethings to our registry. I have it all bookmarked online, I just want to see it and touch it at the store before I decide. I am silly that way. I am going to use the baby set that we used for Lil O. It is PINK and purple hearts and flowers. Its an embroidered quilt. I found it at JCP when I was pregnant with O and loved it. I kept it :)

Well, I am off to start on my PINK sweater and day dream of PINK frilly things for our little baby girl. I hope that everyone has a lovely Monday.

Details Details

Good Morning :)

Yesterday was busy busy and then busy some more.

I really did obsess over the sweater and didn’t move from the couch until I had it DONE! The sweater requires 3 buttons on the neck to be able to slip it over the head. So I went to the ‘button box’ that has millions of buttons in it. No exaggeration. I used to play in this box at my grandmothers when I was little and would even string them to make necklaces. Later on in life I asked her about that box and she actually gave it to me. So it brings back great childhood memories. Anyway…I found 3 beautiful purple buttons from the box and added them to my sweater. :) Creating more memories.

The yarn I used was 100% Merino Wool (50 g/ 175yds/ 160m)

I bought the yarn at Yarn Paradise for $12.25 a skein. So there you have it :)

After that I went to my dads for a couple hours. He made some yummy burgers and hot dogs. I was on edge just waiting for my client to call. But no call. I even missed a baby shower because of it…lol But I do have 2 sick kids–so I guess it all worked out. I did call my clients when I got home and there was no answer–I hope this meant she was out WALKING! LOL

Well, I am off to play the role of loving mom! HAPPY SUNDAY!
