Then the day after Christmas I became sick.
For five days I didn’t feel well enough to cook the awesome traditional Christmas meal.
So, yesterday I was feeling somewhat better so I had planned to cook that meal today.
A Spiral Honey Ham, baby peas, mashed tators with lots of buttah, dressing, deviled eggs, pears and bread.
Baby M pooped in the bed from a tummy ache.
I woke up coughing at 5am and then moved to the couch.
Then Lil O started throwing up.
I just threw the ham in the freezer and put some yummy ingredients in the crockpot to make some Curry Potato Soup with the sick ones in the house.
They always say that what you do on New Year’s Day is what you do for the rest of the year. I sure hope not! Ha ha. But I already look after the kids anyway so today is no different.
Don’t even get me started on making resolutions because I think they are utterly ridiculous. Why set yourself up for failure and disappointment? Join a gym if YOU WANT! Stop smoking if YOU WANT! Be a better person if YOU WANT! When YOU WANT not because it’s January 1st and you feel obligated to make them because everyone else is.
Just remember that I’m not making them.
