All About Borax and a GIVEAWAY just for you!

I start this review with one question?

Borax, where have you been my whole life?

Seriously!!!!  My girls are bad to take their shoes off while they are playing outside in the grass and in the dirt or they have on those rubber shoes and the dirt gets in the shoes anyway as if they were barefoot.

Most times their socks stay dingy from stains and it’s just an “oh well” moment but not anymore.  While washing a load of clothes with their extremely white dirty socks I added some Borax to remove stains in the wash and I was in total shock that the socks were white again!  WHITE AGAIN!!!!

I love you Borax!  No more dingy socks and no more stressing if the kids are playing in their socks while they are outside.  Okay, maybe not that last part.  Ha ha

From now on Borax will be on my shopping list and it should be on yours too.

*happy dance*

All-Natural Detergent Booster with Odor Control

20 Mule Team® Borax increases your detergent's power and controls odors to give you fresh, clean laundry.

All Natural Laundry Booster
20 Mule Team® Borax boosts the effectiveness of ALL brands of laundry detergent, and makes every cup more powerful.

How does it do that?
Detergents work better in “soft water.” 20 Mule Team Borax naturally softens hard water making almost all detergents more effective.

What is hard water?
Over 85% of homes have what most people call “hard water.” Hard water is defined as water with calcium and magnesium (ions) in it. You probably have it in your neighborhood.

How does hard water affect laundry?
When you add detergent to hard water, some of the detergent combines with the calcium and magnesium granules that settle to the bottom of the washing machine, where it washes harmlessly down the drain without cleaning your clothes.

20 Mule Team Borax naturally softens hard water—which in turn helps your detergent stay dissolved in the water—where it can work on cleaning your clothes.

How to clean stains:
To boost your detergent, simply add 1/2 cup of 20 Mule Team Borax to every load, along with your regular detergent.

You’ll find that it:
     •   Naturally softens hard water, and improves the cleaning power of your detergent
     •   Helps keep stains from being re-deposited back onto clothes

What is Borax?
Borax is the common name for sodium tetraborate: a naturally occurring substance produced by the repeated evaporation of seasonal lakes.

20 Mule Team® Borax is 100% natural and 99.5% pure (there is about a half of 1% of naturally occurring trace minerals). Once removed from the ground it is washed, dried, and boxed for consumers.

Borates, borax and boron compounds are with us throughout our lives. Families use it to soak and wash diapers and other laundry, but it’s also an ingredient in cosmetics, medicines, ceramics and building materials.

The biggest industrial user of borates is the glass industry (especially fiberglass and gorilla glass). It’s an important ingredient in agricultural chemicals and fire retardants.

In earlier times, borax was proclaimed to be a magical crystal that was used to aid digestion, keep milk sweet and even cure epilepsy. Common sense and modern technology have brought us better solutions to these and other problems, but 20 Mule Team Borax still has a place in your home.
20 Mule Team Borax comes from California where one of the world’s largest deposits was discovered in 1913.

Absolutely nothing is added. No phosphates, per-oxside, chlorine, or other additive chemicals.

Don't forget to head on over to Facebook to enter the Borax Sweepstake to try and win the grand prize of $1500.00.

Important note: Keep 20 Mule Team Borax out of reach of children. We also recommend labeling any containers containing 20 Mule Team Borax solutions to identify the contents.
