Day Three – What are you thankful for?
Today is rather easy thanks to the random generator yesterday. No one is fighting for third place not that they read the blog anyway. Well, they might. It’s okay though, because today I am thankful for someone pretty amazing no matter how they may annoy me at times when it comes to unloading the dishwasher.
I am thankful for my first born who is known as Crazy Beautiful H on this blog. It went from hormonal teenager to Crazy Beautiful H when she started reading the blog. Ha ha. I tease. Or do I?
My daughter was born over 18 years ago when I was just 20 years young. I never had any doubt about becoming a mother at such a young age because I had a loving husband and a loving family that were all happy at the birth of their first grandchild and first great grandchild. Lots of happy people waiting on her birth, that’s for sure.
This year she turned 18, got her first job, graduated high school with high honors and started college. How much can a mom take??? It was a lot happening all at one time! But she did it. She did amazing. It was sad seeing her leave high school to become this young adult who thought that being 18 meant she was in charge.
*insert laugh here*
She still lives at home and has to follow the rules much to her dismay. She realized that turning 18 only gave her a paycheck and more homework. *said with a smile*
In all seriousness, Crazy Beautiful H is amazing and we are all so proud of her. She’s an intelligent caring young woman and I have no doubt that she will succeed in everything that she sets out to do. She is my daughter after all. :)
Recently her boyfriend left for boot camp and you can follow their journey on her blog. She had to start the blog as a college project but it has turned into a wonderful place for those that may have someone in boot camp as well or already in the military.
So, today I am thankful for my oldest daughter Hannah.
