Strawberry Pie

I bought these beautiful organic strawberries at the store and knew that I just had to make something with them!  Berries as beautiful as them deserved to be in a special treat!  So, I thought I would whip up a delicious pie that is super easy that you can use for any fruit!

You’ll need, all of my ingredients were organic:

fruit of your choice
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 instant packets of oatmeal, I used Maple Brown Sugar this time
brown sugar
1 stick of butter
couple of handfuls pecans or walnuts
premade pie crust

I washed and prepped the strawberries then chopped them up in a bowl.  I sprinkled just a little bit of sugar on top and let them sit out on the counter for a few hours until they were all nice and juicy.

Oatmeal Mixture
In another bowl mix together the oatmeal, about 1/3 cup of brown sugar, vanilla and nuts.  Pour the melted butter on top them mix together.

In premade pie crust add your strawberries and then top with oatmeal topping.

Bake on 375 for 25 minutes or until your crust gets brown.

Fresh out of the oven.  YUMMY!!!
See how easy that is???  Just enjoy.

This will be a random question that will be from a CrAzY conversation with my Beastie Grits.

The first ever question asked since the very small, more work to do, blog change over.

1)  Where do you keep your wine?

My response,

"Above the washing machine as no one else knows how to use such a complex machine."

She said, I picture with her hands on her hips, "Yeah, NO SHIT!  LOL"
