Catching Fire By Suzanne Collins

Saying that I’m a crazed woman obsessed just doesn’t cover how I’ve been feeling these past few days since I’ve read The Hunger Games, finished Catching Fire and currently reading Mockingjay!  Okay, perhaps crazed obsessed woman isn’t the right way to phrase it.  Or maybe it is!

*SPOILERS SO ENTER AT OWN RISK*

These books are amazing!!!  Katniss!  Peeta!  Gale!  It’s just a total mustn’t put down, have to turn the page book!  Do I pull for Team Peeta or Team Gale?  Does it really matter because they both bring something different to Katniss that it’s impossible to choose and why should she??  I picture Gale to be this “more to love” guy that you cannot wrap your arms around because he’s SOLID!  Like this is someone that you know will be there with you forever and adore you forever.

I’m totally afraid to watch the movie because I have it all in my head just the way I want it.  It’s much different that the Twilight Saga of vampires and werewolves because I could actually see these books coming to life down the road.  Make sense?

There are a lot of post-apocalyptic books and movies and I’ve never really watched any that stick out at the moment but while reading these books I see it plain as day.  A world divided with someone making all the decisions living in luxury.  Then once a year having to send two young people from your group to fight until only one stands to make sure that everyone knows his or her place in the circle of life is just scary as all get out.

I’m on page 254 (out of 398) of Mockingjay and it’s all I can think about.  After I’ve set my book down then I think about the book and what it must be like if I were living in the book.  I just don’t know.  I hope to finish this last book today but not sure I will with kids and things to do.

If you have read these books or currently reading this books, let me know what you think!
