My day told through Facebook updates.

There's nothing like getting attacked by yellow jackets to start the day! Baby M and I have a few bites between us. It was a very scary ordeal and I keep crying when I think about it. She's handling it a bit better then me. I'm going to the couch to whine some more.

Okay, so I've been sleeping most of the day thanks to Dr Benedryl. Stings aren't hurting so much except my wrist and my bottom lip. I feel like Angelina Jolie! Baby M is fine, she won't let us touch her though. Sorry I've not been on today I've been sleeping.

Yellow Jackets are MEAN!!!! OMG! They were all over us at once. In our hair, ears, on our clothes. I was ripping Baby M out of her clothes and swatting them off her that I didn't feel them on me. (We were at our neighbors and they were landscaping when they hit the nest.) I was worried about their dogs because the bees were eating them alive and I remember trying to pick one of the dogs up and get him to safety. Once we had returned home the adrenalin was gone and I just cried. The pain set in and I called Superdad to come home from work because all Baby M and I could do was cry.

I want to thank everyone for the comments of well wishes and advice to stop the stinging.  I'm okay tonight pretty much, my wrist hurts and my lip.  Baby M is acting as if nothing even happened.

Night night.  Be back tomorrow to blog and work on reviews.

Friendship Bread, Day 8

Packing a healthy lunch for your kids.

Since school is back in session packing the lunches has started for two of my children.  Packing lunches is a tradition that I could actually do without since I already have a very busy schedule at home.  It cannot be helped for Lil O because at her Montessori School they don’t have a lunch room to serve lunches so a nice healthy lunch must be packed for Lil O.

Then there’s my son who prefers a cold sandwich and pretzels instead of a hot school lunch.  Figure that one out why don’t you.  Seriously, he’d rather have a cold bologna and cheese sandwich, chips, apple and water.  This whole thing just doesn’t make sense to me because I’d prefer the hot lunch any day.

Do you know what Lil O prefers to eat Monday through Friday and she’s not up for change either.  I wonder if the school thinks I’m a lazy parent because it’s all I send to school but it’s the only thing she wants for lunch so I pack it that way for her.

A sunbutter and jelly sandwich, maple yogurt, some sort of fruit or veggie and water.  Then for a snack I pack some crackers and cheese.  That’s all.  On rare occasions she will let me pack some leftovers from dinner but more often she prefers her sandwich.

I guess it can’t be all bad since everything is organic.  Right?

Friendship Bread, Day 6

This is the FUN DAY!!!  You get to add more ingredients to your bag!!  YAY!!!!

Mash it really good!!

See you tomorrow.

My mouth is watering for Sunday to get here and I can bake!

Liberty Street Baggage, Asheville North Carolina

I’m blogging to tell you all about Liberty Street Baggage a local company in my town.  I was able to meet these two amazing women Saundra and Lexie this past Monday and talk about the business.  Liberty Street Baggage designs, sews and sales the most amazing bags you have ever seen.    It’s nice to see a company that does everything from start to finish in their small space.

Upon entering Liberty Street Bags you will see a wide assortment of handbags, luggage, Bible covers, fabric and much much more.  You can see their craftsmanship and see how well these products are made!  They are made with top notch fabric and sewn with care.  No two alike, well unless you want them that way.

Liberty Street Baggage is joining the big WWW after years of making their handmade products and I’m so happy that they have asked me to help them.   They now have a Facebook Fan page, a Twitter Page and a YouTube account.  Be sure to follow all of them for regular updates about what’s being sewn, AWESOME sales, and hear how Liberty Street Bags is giving back to the community.

I love Liberty Street Baggage so much that I’ve been there every day this past week to talk, take pictures and give them some fresh friendship bread.  I’ve also begged them to think of me for long-term employment down the road when they are worldwide famous!!!  And they will be worldwide famous!

Here are some random pictures I took in the store.

Who's that hiding in the fabric?

Here are some bags all ready to be sewn.

Here are a few samples of the swatches of fabric.

Have you heard about the Smart-Pack Sac?  It’s awesome!  The Smart-Pack Sac is designed especially for wheelchairs because using an average book bag just doesn’t work on a wheelchair because they are hard to use and their straps hang down too far.  These bags are amazing!  Adults and kids love them on their chairs!  They can be designed especially for the chair that will be used with the fabric that is picked out to match their style.  This bag will last forever!

You can also get bags for a walker, making everything convenient to reach.  These can be designed to match your very own personal style!

There are many other designs as well and you can check them out at Smart-Pack Sac.

Another amazing product that Liberty Street Baggage designed and makes is the Got Your Back Sac.  This bag is perfect and everyone should own one or three!  Use it for shopping, laundry, going to the beach, camping and insert every occasion where you need a bag!  No more filling up the landfills with plastic bags that will be there forever!  Go Green with the Got Your Back Sac!!!   When your bag is not in use the bag folds into itself so you can throw it in your purse, diaper bag, book bag or the glove box of your car.

I could go on and on about Liberty Street Bags!  I love them and so glad that I am able to help tell everyone about their amazing company.

Please feel free to share our Facebook and Twitter pages!  We’d like that since we just started them this week.

Be on the lookout for a Liberty Street Giveaway!  I have three amazing bags that I will be giving away to three lucky people!

Friendship Bread, Day 5

You're my favorite, shhhhh, don't tell the others.

Come on!!  You can admit it to me and I won't tell your other children.  There was a recent survey that I heard about and it's true, some parents have a favorite child.  *gasp*  Say it isn't so!  Oh, please, everyone knows you have a favorite child!  It's not rocket science.

ha ha

It's not being mean or loving your other children any less.  So don't feel all guilty for liking one of your kids more than the other.  *hilarious laugh here*

Last night while in bed with Baby M, she was resting her head on my shoulder telling me how much she loved me.  I whispered, "You're my favorite, shhhh, don't tell the others."

Then Superdad buts in with, "She does tell all the other ones the same thing."

So, which one of your children is your favorite?

Friendship Brad, Day 3

This is how I found the bags this morning.

Let the air our of your bag and just mash.

See you tomorrow.

Baby M was switched at birth.

It's come to my attention that Baby M was switched at birth during our stay at the hospital and let me tell you why.

Today while in the minivan Madonna's Into the Groove came on the radio and I turned it up and started to sing along because we all know I'm a HUGE Madonna fan!

Baby M says to me, "I don't like this song, CHANGE IT."

*gasp*

I immediately called Superdad to tell him that Baby M was switched at birth.

Now I must investigate and find my real "Madonna loving" child.
