If you're going to tattle, I don't want to hear it.

DAY ONE OF SUMMER BREAK ~ BIG OLE FAT CHECK MARK HERE!!!!

Not only was it Superdad's birthday that was filled joy and happiness it was also the first day of summer break for Lil O.

Just in case you don't know this but Lil O talks non stop!  I mean literally her mouth doesn't stop making sounds from the time she gets up to the time she goes to bed.  It can also be in the form of whining, moaning and groaning.  I'd prefer it all to be laughter but we don't always get what we wish for.  What's that saying about it's not always unicorns farting glitter??  ha ha  I couldn't help myself.

Lil O LOVES to tattle when any of her siblings to something that they aren't supposed to do.  It drives me CrAzY!!!!!  I have tried to explain to her to please stop doing that and just worry about her actions.  It's not working!  So, "If you're going to tattle, I don't want to hear it!".

For Superdad's birthday I wanted to pass something very special to me to him and I ran across this town to make that happen.  When I was a little girl I would sit for hours with my Papaw and play with the world globe when it still said USSR on it.  We used to travel to all sorts of places and explore every country that you could imagine.  It is still a very special memory that I have of my Papaw.  I'm so fortunate to have so many wonderful memories growing up being around my Mamaw and Papaw.  I was really a blessed little girl.  Anyway, Mamaw doesn't know what happened to the globe that was in her house after all this time.

That saddened me a lot and brought tears to my eyes when I realized that the globe was gone but I do still have the memories in my heart.

I wanted to pass on a very special memory from my childhood to Superdad so he could make all these special memories with our kids like my Papaw made with me.

Travel to far off places.  Pick a place and learn about it.  See all the different colors and even imagine being on a boat in the pretty blue water.  Or just spin it round and round for FUN!

I finally found a globe almost identical to my Papaw's after going to two stores and calling three stores in Asheville.  You'd think it would be a staple in households but I guess not.

So, today I bought Superdad a globe of the world for his birthday!  He knew instantly what the story was about when he opened it because I'd shared my story with him before.  I told him I had hoped to give him the actual globe but I had to buy him a new one just for him.

I guess after such an amazing day listening to Lil O moan and groan didn't really matter.

Bring it on DAY TWO!
