Counting down the days.

Nope, not the days until Christmas.

I'm counting down the days until my hysterectomy.  Yeah, that's not something you hear every day.  Remember a date had been set and I have made arrangements for my family and then I go to my pre-op appointment and after telling my doc about the Vaseline Tour she changes my surgery date.  Sniff sniff.

I had already celebrated about having my last period and all.  Just so unfair!!!  I was rejoicing about no more periods and not having to buy tampons anymore but nooooo my doctor had to look out for me and change the date.

In all honesty she was right.  There was no way I could be doing this Vaseline Tour three short weeks after a major surgery.  I most definitely wouldn't have been in a marathon!!  Even though me being anemic played a big part of how I felt in Philly I'm afraid to say.  It probably wasn't smart on my part to actually push myself into a 4.97 mile run, walk fast, walk slow and want to crawl marathon.  Oh well, you live and learn.

Here's a great shot of me crossing the finish line BTW.

Be sure to go to Vaseline's Official Facebook Page to see the video from the Philly trip with Wendie Malick.  There are also some good photos from our Philly Marathon on the page as well.

So, back to my countdown.  February won't get here soon enough I am sure!!!  Our last tour weekend will be in Duluth for some awesome Dog Sledding then when I get home I can have my surgery and relax.  A much deserved break.  I will probably drive you crazy blogging, updating my Facebook status and Twittering since I will be forced to rest!!!  HA HA!!!  You still love me right?

Sorry you had to put your surgery off. I have been thinking about doing the same thing. You will have to let me know how it goes and if it is worth it. Hope all goes well.
