I'm just not Supermom anymore....

The Golden Rule

I try to teach my kids to do unto others as you would have them do unto you.  I think it very important for our children to practice this in their every day life.

Don't talk hateful to someone unless you want them to be hateful to you.

Don't talk about someone unless you want them to talk about you.

Don't hurt anyone unless you want them to hurt you.

Don't be mean to someone unless you want to be treated meanly.

Don't lie to someone unless you want them to lie to you.

I really try to show my children to be caring.  I am a very passionate person.  I'm willing to help anyone in need.  I try to give good advice and I try to be there for anyone that needs me.  I'm nice to people and I try to treat every single person I know the way I'd want them to treat me.

Are you teaching your kids this and do you practice what you preach?

Shoot I'm convinced she doesn't listen to me when I'm talking so I'm praying that she at least sees how I treat others and copies that...:) LOL!!!

I try to teach Cooper this but my husband's version goes something like "Do unto others what is done to you." So I hope he listens more to me than his father!

I think what you said about practicing what you preach important. Sometimes we are so busy telling our kids how they should act that we forget how to act.
