As a mother of four children ranging in age from a teenager to a toddler. I deal with a lot of things that mothers can relate to. Teenager behavior. Potty training. Taking a pacifier away. Trying to save money with a bigger family. I tell funny stories and give helpful advice. I find the Internet to be a great place to express myself.

Baby Carrier, Baby Wrap and Baby Sling Review by The Adventures of Supermom.

I love carrying my baby in a sling, wrap or carrier.  I have worn all four of my children.  Baby M is 18 months old and still gets worn.  She loves it.  I love it.  Superdad loves it.  It's awesome!!!!

I have tried LOTS of slings, wraps, and carriers since my first child was born over 15 years ago.  This review will be about the ones I have personally tried myself.  I'll be honest and brutal.  You wouldn't expect any less from me I know.  I will also be including pictures of my kids in the slings when available.

My first carrier was the basic blue Snugli.  I couldn't even find a picture of that carrier from the 1990's.  Carrying babies wasn't popular back then so there wasn't much of a selection.  Pretty sad huh?

I used that with both of my smaller children.  It's comparable to the Bjorn in my opinion.  It's worn over both shoulders and the baby rests in a face into chest or face out position.

I love that style of carrier.  It's easier on the back and very comfortable.

When I had my third child in 2005 having a baby carrier/sling was as popular as the newest style of pocketbook or name brand shoes.  I tried a couple different ones.  This is where my review gets negative.

I bought this expensive green over one shoulder sling with metal rings.  It was all the rage!

These pictures were taken on the rare occasion of me wearing the sling.  It was uncomfortable to me.  It hurt my neck, shoulder and back.  I had really hoped to like the sling but I just couldn't.  I threw it in my closet to collect dust.

Then we tried another carrier for when she was older.  Playtex Hip Hammock Infant Carrier

Another over the shoulder carrier. It was supposed to make you feel like the child was on your hip. Didn't like it. It again hurt my shoulder and neck.

There is good news!!  I had a favorite carrier for baby #3.

My Baby Bjorn.  Again, a carrier that went over both shoulders!!!!!

With baby #4 of course there were NEW carriers to try!!  I was super excited!!!!!!  So far all of the below are my best all time favorite carriers/slings/wraps EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I met a bear in Dollywood.

I still use this wrap at home and Baby M is 18 months old.

Of course I had a Baby Bjorn as well with Baby M.

Baby M loved the Bjorn too!  It was super fast and easy to put on.  I just left it in the car for shopping and visiting.

Next came the carrier that I absolutely love and even would have another baby just so I could use it again!!  I love it that much.  NO, they aren't paying me to say that either!!  I bought this wrap all by myself over the summer just for Baby M.  The ERGO Baby Carrier.

Baby M was in this carrier the whole time we were in Washington DC.  She loved being in the front and she always fell asleep in the back.

I love how the ERGO has special straps to keep the head from flopping around back there!  Perfect for a sleeping baby.

I wrote ERGO a special email about buying their carrier and my love for it!  They sent me a special accessory for my carrier!!!

The ERGO Back Pack!!!!

You can attach it to your ERGO when your child is in the back position.  You can carry your diaper, wipes and bottle and baby all in one carrier!!!

I borrowed this picture from the ERGO website.

I also just use the ERGO Back Pack as my diaper bag when not attached to my carrier.  I LOVE IT!!!

I hope this review was helpful to new parents looking for the perfect wrap.  I recommend a wrap, sling or carrier that go over both shoulders.  I find them to be more comfortable.  Easier on the back and your neck.

I would even find a baby specialty store that will let you try them on.  Give you advice and make sure you find the perfect one for you and your baby.

I ordered mine last Friday and find myself checking out my front window for the UPS truck. It's like Christmas. I love my Bjorn, but Norah is getting bigger and my friend swears by hers, so now it's just a waiting game. I'm sure I'll do a complete photo shoot when I get mine! I also ordered the Mei Tai. Ever tried it? Thoughts on it if you have?

Oh yeah, you're tagged on my blog. I can already guess one of your favorites!

You will fall in love!!!!!! I really want to have another baby now if I can talk Superdad into it.

I have never tried the Mei Tai. Tell me how it goes.

Thanks about the tag, let me go run and see about it.

Do you like the hug-a-bub or ergo more? I have an baby bjorn like thing that I found for $10 at a consignment sale but its really difficult to put on and hurts my shoulders. I want a new one. And if I'm gonna pay out the butt for it I want to get the right one. Lol

You will probably get more use from the ERGO. You can use it for infants and toddlers.

I am surprised that you are still carrying the baby with the sling. I used mine when the baby was little, but now that he is walking and won't sit still, (and he also pokes at my face, eyes) I have not been able to get any use out of it. Baby M is a really good baby if she will still let you carry her in the sling.

She loves to be carried. She even gets excited when I put the carrier/wrap on because she knows!!!

again another thing i should have started earlier with Isabel. I have a baby bjorn type thing but Jon only uses it. I bought the sling with the metal rings and i agree it was a little uncomfy and i felt if i moved wrong she could slip out. my fav is my wrap. it is similar to your hub a bug. i really like it and wish i had bought it before isabel was born. i didnt get it til she was about 4 months old and she gets squirmy in it. i havent tried it lately, but i want to start baby #2 in it from day 1. i have visions of me playing isabel and wearing baby #2. my question...i tried wearing her and doing household things but just found it very cumbersome. do you just get used to it?? like do you wear her while you are cooking, cleaning, etc.

Without you, I'd just be talking to myself.
