Never throw out your potatoes again!

Sometimes I would have to throw out the potatoes. I would forget there was a bag in the kitchen. Same with sweet potatoes.

First, I set the potatoes out so I see them in the kitchen.

Second, when I notice they are loosing their perkiness I do this:

Wash them off and throw them in water. Boil until tender. About 25 minutes. Skin and all. I drain the water off and put them in a bowl. Once they have cooled I throw them in the fridge for when I want to use them.

For sweet potatoes I do the above or go ahead and bake them. Then just put them in the fridge to use during the week with my meal planning.

So, last night I got the already cooked potatoes out of the fridge and made this tasty dish! This is one of my families favorite.

I just quarter the potatoes, skin and all. Melt some butter in the skillet then add the potatoes. Sprinkle with lots of salt, garlic and chives. Just cook until brown.

That way you aren't throwing out potatoes anymore!

I'll share one of my favorite dishes with ya... and I think your advice might make this one even easier!

Take the taters and quarter them (these taters were boiled and cooled like ya said) and drizzle some raspberry vinaigrette dressing on them. Bake (I think I might try your skillet method next time!) until piping hot and they are YUMMY!

I am so bad about forgetting my potatoes, I have stopped buying them, unless I have a specific plan for them.

Your recipe sounds really good!
