Planning a birthday party on a budget.

Lil O will be 4 on March 11, 2009. Sadly, it will be here before we know it. I was coming up with a plan to make the most of my dollar for her birthday party. That marks off Chuck E Cheese from the short list. Though I love the idea of someone else setting up and cleaning up for me but not this year. That's okay because we have a plan.

Lil O loves to play board games. Candyland caught my eye. Gum drops. Peppermint. Gingerbread men. Bright colors.

I told Lil O that we would hit the 1.00 Store. She can pick out different color plates, napkins and cups to match the colors on the board. I already have a gum drop tree. We can make cupcakes with lots of frosting and sprinkles. Have gingerbread cookies and peppermint sticks! Neat idea huh???

I thought so.

This birthday she is going to invite her little friends to come. She wants to plan a tea party too! Should be fun!!!! I am excited because I know she will have a wonderful birthday.

I'll post later what we find and how much we spent. find the perfect gift at a bargain.

That is a great idea for a theme! I bet it is really going to be cute and special for your little girl.

Can I come help you! I love planning birthday parties. Just not when I am moving. :) I am going to help my sister plan her daughter's princess themed party this year. I am so excited! Got any budget ideas for that?

What a fantastic idea for a theme...and a gumdrop cool is that? This definitely sounds like a b-day party she's gonna remember for a long long time!
