my number 1 fav favorite memory my kids were in 4th grade 6th grade and 9th grade.. I always made my kids a hot breakfast for the 1st day of school, after that cereal works best lol anyway on this day my oldest said mom we talked it out and us kids decided we dont want you getting up with us any more we want to get up without you , we decided your just too cranky in the mornings and so after that I only got up with them on the 1st day of school to make a hot breakfast and after that .......mommy got to sleep in lol
When I was a kid, my grandma always took me on an annual Back To School shopping trip. It was a really great girl's day out. We would buy new school clothes, school supplies and eat out at my favorite restaurant. It was always a tradition and we still like to shop together!
I too shopped with my grandmother for school. We are still BFF and shop together all the time. She is 78 now.
Okay, my turn.
A favorite memory of fine deals with my oldest daughter H. Who started HIGH SCHOOL TODAY BTW ~~sobbing~~.
In K each child had a letter of the alphabet and they were to dress with that letter in mind on certain days. H was the letter B. I went through my HUGE button box that was given to me by another grandmother. (more on that another day) I found all these bright colored buttons and glued them to a white shirt of hers. And on a hairbow for her.
She was Miss Beautiful Buttons!!!!!
I'll find the picture to show you when I get a chance.
Have a great day. Details over the weekend about the Vanilla Blackberry yummies!
If I were tell you all the things I do in a single day at the office your mind would be spinning from the thousands of tiny details that I must cram into what seems like a very short amount of time. My office, in case you are wondering, is my home and I’m a modern day version of June Cleaver, with leopard print heels and pearls, who rules the roost with a toddler attached to my leg and a cup of coffee (or cold beer depending on the time) in my hand. My fuzzy pink robe is what you’ll most likely see me wearing when you stop by for a visit (which ironically doubles as a cape for those days I need my super powers) and my friends actually want me to auction it off for charity.
My life revolves around a family of six that includes raging hormonal teens and a toddler who insists I go with her every time she runs to the bathroom. I feel compelled to tell you my life story simply because it's that comedy show everyone lives. It's good to know you aren't alone in this crazy world of motherhood!
Please follow the trials and tribulations of motherhood through me. Stop by and tell me what you think now and again. And don't forget to laugh at life because even the most chaotic moments will pass with only a little trepidation only to be forgotten with the next booger on the wall, sock on the floor or new organic dessert baking in the oven.
